Great Britain Badminton Chair
We are pleased to present to you two coveted roles within the sport of Badminton as GB Badminton and Badminon England each look to recruit the next Chair of their respective organisation.
GB Badminton is responsible for the participation of the Great Britain teams in international badminton events, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Badminton England is the national governing body responsible for the sport of badminton in England, from grassroots to elite level.
GB Badminton brings together all four Home Nations and has appointed Badminton England as the Lead Home Nation until March 2025.
The Lead Home Nation takes responsibility for the operational delivery of the Olympic and Paralympic Programmes as approved by the GB Badminton board and in this capacity is providing support to the recruitment of GB Badminton’s next Chair.

These are separate roles with their own distinct role descriptions. Any candidates wishing to be considered for both roles will be able to indicate this when completing their first and preferred application.
While the appointments will be made entirely on merit based on skills and experience, both GB Badminton and Badminton England strongly encourage applications from candidates from under-represented groups, particularly disabled people, diverse ethnic communities, LGBTQ+ community and females.

Key Information:
Both roles are voluntary (unpaid) Chair positions and will require a minimum commitment of:
GB Badminton Chair
- 4 x Board meetings annually
- Chairing the AGM
- Attending key events
- Equivalent of 20 days per year
Badminton England Chair
- 8 x Board meetings annually
- Chairing the AGM & 3 x General meetings per year
- Attending key events
- Equivalent of 35 days per year
Salary: Reasonable Expenses
