About the Role
Badminton England is seeking to co-opt a Non-Executive Director with experience in all of the following areas to join the Board:
Finance & Risk
• Professional accounting, finance or similar qualifications.
• Knowledge and understanding of financial planning, budgeting, financial management & reporting and risk management.
• Strategic financial thinking that is aligned with the overall strategic goals and ambitions of an organisation.
• Experience of operating at a senior level in finance roles.
• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Knowledge of the badminton landscape is desirable but not essential.
Chairing Committees
The successful candidate will also Chair the Badminton England Finance and Risk Committee.

Key Information:
This is a volunteer (unpaid) Non-Executive Director position it is expected that Non-Executive Directors will be required to commit the equivalent of 12 to 15 days per year.
This will consist of attending 4-6 board meetings per year and chairing 4-6 Finance & Risk Committee meetings as well as attending key events.
Most board meetings take place at National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes, and the majority of Finance & Risk Committee meetings are held online.
Salary: Reasonable Expenses
