Badminton England is the national governing body for badminton in England. With over a million people playing regularly, badminton is the nation’s most played racket sport and the sixth biggest sport in this country overall.

This role will be critical in supporting the delivery of outstanding experiences, providing administrative support to the performance function, with a particular emphasis on administration and operations and logistics.
This role will be based at the heart of the High Performance environment itself - the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes - an inspiring environment that is home to athletes, our offices, public gyms, hotel and café.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join the Performance Team and become a part of our vision. The role operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and will play a key part in supporting the operations of delivering the programme to our athletes, coaches and multi-disciplinary team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of tournament entries
- Support team squad entries to international tournaments in liaison with the National Coaching team
- Coordination of Tournaments and Championships arrangements
- Organise travel and accommodation for players, coaches and support staff
- Support in tracking event costs
- Support in administrative preparation for major/multi-sport events
- Provide support to the Badminton England Performance Operations
- Collating information for meetings
- Tracking player results for selection/review meetings
Performance Co-ordination / Administration:
- Coordination of Training Camps
- Coordinate logistical organisations of training camps for the England Performance and England Junior Programme
- Budget Management
- Manage timely authorisation of invoices and POs when required
- Support in tracking costs throughout the programmes
- Support in processing monthly credit card reconciliation
- Team Communications
- Manage the use of Hive and keep communications updated for England Junior Programme players, families and coaches
- Ensure the relevant pages on the website are up to date
- Performance Programme Support
- Support in tracking and maintaining player results for review and selection meetings
- Support in data collection
- Assist in the implementation of UKAD Education Strategy
- Support in managing the team kit distribution

Who we are looking for......
- Confident working knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint - able to create, edit and manage documents, emails and basic data effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail - able to keep track of ongoing tasks and ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to multi-task working across multiple projects - calmness in switching between priorities at short notice and handling several projects at once
- Flexible, independent and purpose-driven - able to adapt your priorities to meet the needs of the sport. Understanding that every task plays a part in the sport
